The perfect sweet and sour chicken to serve as a starter.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 grams boneless chicken breast
  2. oil for frying
  3. 3 tsp soya sauce
  4. 3 tsp chilli sauce
  5. 4 tsp corn flour
  6. 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  7. 3 tsp maida/ flour
  8. salt as per taste
  9. 4 tsp garlic, chopped
  10. 2 onion, sliced
  11. 1 spring onion, chopped well
  12. 4-5 green chillies, sliced
  13. 2 tsp vinegar
  14. 4 tsp tomato sauce


  1. Marinate your chicken with chilli sauce, soya sauce and some garlic for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Heat oil to deep fry. Drop the chicken into the hot oil till it's golden in color.
  3. To prepare the sauce, heat some oil in pan.
  4. Add the onion, green chilli, garlic, capsicum and mix it well. Then add the soya sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar and tomato ketchup. Mix it well and add in the chicken pieces.
  5. Your dish is ready! Garnish it with some chopped green onion and roasted sesame (til) on top.
