Plum Whip / Plum Mousse

Ingredients to make Plum Whip / Plum Mousse

  • For plum puree -
  • Dried Black plums -1-1/2 cup chopped
  • sugar 3 tbsp
  • water 1/4 cup
  • Other Ingredients-
  • Whipping cream 200 ml (chillied)
  • Chocolate chips 1/2 cup
  • Powder sugar 10 tbsp or to taste
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Keep aside 1 tbsp of plum puree for topping.
  • Powdered sugar 1 tbsp for coating cups

How to make Plum Whip / Plum Mousse

  1. In a mixer take plums, sugar and water. Blend it into a smooth thick puree or paste. Transfer it to a bowl and keep in fridge
  2. In a bowl take cream, powder sugar and vanilla essence. Beat it with a beater till light, fluffy and stiff peaks are formed. Keep it in the fridge till use.
  3. Now take whipped cream and plum puree out of the fridge. Mix both of them softly. Now add chocolate chips and again mix softly. Do not over mix.
  4. Now take a small cup. Take plum puree in a plate. Dip cup upside down in a plate and coat it with puree.
  5. Now take powder sugar in a plate and dip the cup coated with plum puree in the sugar. It is coated with sugar also. Keep aside.
  6. Now take cups coated with plum and sugar. Pour plum whip in the cups gently with a spoon. Top it with plum puree.
  7. Serve immediately or chill it for 1/2 hr and serve.

My Tip:

Add sugar to taste
