Boozy Orange Bundt Cake

Ingredients to make Boozy Orange Bundt Cake

  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • powdered sugar 3/4 cup
  • Baking powder 1/4tsp
  • baking soda 1 pinch
  • yogurt 1 cup
  • Orange zest 1 tbsp
  • Orange juice 1 tbsp
  • vegetable oil 1/4 cup
  • Any good whiskey 2tbsp
  • salt a pinch
  • Rinds of orange peel (optional)

How to make Boozy Orange Bundt Cake

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C
  2. Sift flour and baking powder and soda
  3. Mix yogurt and sugar well till combined. Add 1 tbsp whiskey ,oil,orange zest and juice. Combine well
  4. Fold in the sifted flour
  5. Pour in a bundt pan
  6. Bake at 180 degrees C for 30 mins or till a toothpick comes clean .
  7. Remove from the oven .Brush generously with the remaining whiskey and pop in again for 1 minute till you get golden colour on top
  8. Demould and serve with orange sauce

My Tip:

Remove the pith from the rind and cut it into stripes. Boil for 10 mins in water. Drain and keep aside. Melt 2 tbsp sugar and 1/4 cup of water till they form a thick syrup. Add the rind to it and cook for 10 mins till glossy. Use this to garnish your cake.
