ABOUT Masala Oats RECIPE

Oats being high in fiber, is considered a life saver for those on a strict diet. Presenting an interesting recipe with oats and vegetables that tastes good and is good for health too.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Oats 1 cup
  2. Carrot (finely chopped) 1/2 cup
  3. Beans (finely chopped) 1/2 cup
  4. Onion (chopped) 1/2
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  6. Green chili (chopped) 1
  7. Tomato (diced) 1 (small)
  8. Coriander leaves (chopped) 2 tbsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
  10. Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
  11. oil 2 tbsp
  12. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  13. Water 2 and 1/2 cups
  14. Salt as required

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add the cumin seeds and saute for a minute.
  3. Next add in the onion, green chili, carrots, beans and coriander leaves.
  4. Saute for 2 minutes and then cook covered for about 5 minutes, stirring in between.
  5. Then add the tomatoes and saute till they soften.
  6. Add in the turmeric and red chili powders and mix.
  7. Next add in 2 cups of water, and let it boil.
  8. Once it boils, add the oats and cook covered for 5-8 minutes.
  9. Add more water if it thickens too much.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy the super delicious masala oats.
