Wheat Rava Orange Cake

Ingredients to make Wheat Rava Orange Cake

  • Rava - 1/2 cup
  • Orange juice - 1/2 cup
  • wheat - 1/4 cup
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • yogurt - 1/4 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  • oil - 10 and 1/2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence - 2 drops

How to make Wheat Rava Orange Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 170 degree Centigrade for 15 minutes. Grease a cake tin.
  2. Sieve wheat flour, baking soda and baking powder and keep aside.
  3. Mix orange juice and roasted rava and keep aside.
  4. Now mix sugar and curd and mix till it becomes creamy.
  5. Add curd, oil and vanilla essence and mix well.
  6. Now add all the dry ingredients slowly and mix softly. Add the rava mixture and mix until well combined.
  7. Pour it into the tin.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes. Check with a toothpick. If it comes out clean it is done, else bake it for another 5 minutes.
  9. Cool it and then serve.

My Tip:

You can use normal sugar. I did not have fresh juice so added mixture of 1/4 cup orange marmalade and 2 tbsp water and soaked rava in it.
