Crispy Chiwada is made using multiple ingredients (peanuts for protein, vitamins, green leaves for iron) which are needed by kids.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Thin poha 2 cups
  2. Murmura 1 bowl
  3. Oil 5 big spoons (200 gms)
  4. Peanuts 1/2 bowl
  5. Daliya 1/4 bowl
  6. Dry Coconut 1 bowl (chopped)
  7. Cumin 2 spoons
  8. Seesam seeds 1 spoon
  9. Curry leaves 1 bowl
  10. Green chilly 3-4 (cutted)
  11. Coriander leaves 1 bowl (chopped)
  12. Garlic 10-12 petals (crushed with cover)
  13. Asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Turmeric 1 big spoon
  15. Powdered sugar 1 spoon
  16. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Roast poha in a pan on low flame. (Divide the poha into two parts and roast them separately)
  2. Heat oil in a large pan, fry peanuts, coconut. Strain both from oil.
  3. Fry curry leaves, green chilly, coriander leaves, cumin, garlic and daliya in that oil. (Fry all the greens till they are crispy)
  4. Add turmeric, sesame seeds and asafoetida. Mix well (stir continuously).
  5. In other (second) pan dry roast murmura for 5 mins.
  6. Mix all ingredients in a big pan, add salt and at last mix sugar and turn off the gas stove.
  7. After some time (once cool), pack in air tight container.
