ABOUT Masala Papad RECIPE

Masala papad is a jhatpat snack that can be prepared in a jiffy when you have certain unexpected guests at your home.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 - papads (take any urad dal or maida)
  2. 1/2 cup - finely chopped capsicum
  3. 1/2 cup - finely chopped tomatoes
  4. 1/4 cup - Cottage cheese diced
  5. 1 tsp - Sugar
  6. 1/2 tsp - Salt (as per taste)
  7. 1/2 tsp - Lemon juice
  8. 1/2 tsp - olive oil
  9. 1/4 tsp - Chaat masala
  10. oil for frying papad

Instructions

  1. You can make masala papad by roasting papads or frying them. We prefer fried one.
  2. Take a papad and cut it into four pieces and fry them.
  3. Drain extra oil and keep aside.
  4. For the Topping masala: In a non stick pan heat some oil.
  5. Add the chopped capsicum and let it saute for a while till it becomes tender.
  6. Add tomatoes, cottage cheese (paneer) dices, salt, sugar and cook for a few seconds for the flavours to mingle.
  7. The mixture is ready and let it cool.
  8. Now take your papad and put a layer of prepared salad on each piece.
  9. Sprinkle some chaat masala on top and enjoy!!!
