#Chawal ki kachri

Ingredients to make #Chawal ki kachri

  • Broken rice 1 glass
  • water 6 glass
  • cumin Seeds 1 tesp
  • salt 2 tesp
  • asafoetida a generous pinch

How to make #Chawal ki kachri

  1. Wash and soak rice for half an hour. Actually any variety of rice can be used.
  2. Pressure cook soaked rice with 6 glass of water till one whistle and then on sim for 5 minutes.
  3. Let the pressure drop down.
  4. Open the lid and whisk rice batter tightly with a ladle to mash rice.
  5. Let them cool down a little say 15 to 20 minutes. This batter should not be cooled completely as it would not pipe out then.
  6. Spread a large plastic sheet under bright sun.
  7. Fill the batter in a piping bag. Make an opening of 1/2 to 3/4 centimeters.
  8. Pipe out batter in desired shape on plastic sheet. I made them spiral like jalebis.
  9. Sun dry these for 4 to 5 days till completely dry.
  10. After 2 day drying detach them from plastic sheet.
  11. When completely dried store well in a dry place.
  12. Whenever wished just deepfry and relish.
  13. These kachri stay good for long if stored well , away from moisture.
