Ingredients to make Awadhi murgh(Romantic dish)

  • Murgh 500 gms
  • Boiled onion paste 1/2 cup
  • Fried onion paste 1/2 cup
  • garlic paste 1 tsp
  • ginger paste 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • All ground masala 1 tsp
  • Whole cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom
  • bay leaves 4
  • coconut milk 1/2 cup
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • tomato puree 1/2 cup
  • oil as required
  • salt to taste
  • Rose water

How to make Awadhi murgh(Romantic dish)

  1. Marinate murgh with onion paste, ginger garlic paste, curd, tomato puree, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Keep aside for ten minutes.
  2. Now add oil in the cooking vessel heat and add bay leaves and whole cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom.
  3. Then add marinated chicken mix well stir continuously. Cover the lid till soft. Add fried onion paste and salt.
  4. Now add all ground masala, coconut milk and rose water. Again cover the lid for a minute.
  5. Serve with lachha paratha.
