Ingredients to make Deep Red Valentine Cake

  • all purpose flour- 1 cup
  • Baking powder -1/2 teaspoon
  • baking soda-1 teaspoon
  • Coco powder- 4 1/2 tablespoons
  • sugar-3/4 cup
  • Milk-1/2 cup
  • oil-1/2 cup
  • curd-1/2 cup
  • Instant coffee-1/4 teaspoon (mixed in 1/4 cup water)
  • Vanilla essence -1teaspoon
  • Non dairy whipped cream-1 and 1/2 cup (I used tropolite)
  • Powder colour- 2-3 pinch
  • Dark chocolate compound -3tablespoons

How to make Deep Red Valentine Cake

  1. In a bowl mix together sugar, flour,cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
  2. Make a well in the center and add oil , milk, curd and vanilla.
  3. Mix until all the ingredients are incorporated.
  4. Boil coffee mixed water and mix in the cake batter.
  5. Preheat oven at 180 degrees centigrade
  6. Grease ,line and dust cake tin and bake for 30-35 minutes .
  7. For frosting take cream and beat it till stiff peaks form .Mix colour and beat again .
  8. Frost the cake as per your wish .
  9. To make chocolate hearts I melted chocolate in microwave and filled in the piping bag and on a butter paper I drew hearts with chocolate ,after five minutes remove hearts and put on cake.

My Tip:

You can use wilton 2D or 1M nozzle for these roses.
