Eggless banana chocolate cake with melted butter icing

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour - 1 & a 1/2 cup
  2. Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
  3. 1/2 tsp - baking powder
  4. 1/4 tsp - baking soda
  5. 1 cup - (mashed) banana
  6. 1/2 cup - (melted) butter
  7. Condensed milk - 1 cup
  8. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  9. Castor sugar/powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
  10. 3/4 cup - cream
  11. Gems for decoration

Instructions

  1. Take all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda in a bowl and sieve it so that these ingredients get nicely mixed together.
  2. In another bowl take the melted butter and sugar, mix it well with a spatula.
  3. Now mix in the mashed banana, vanilla essence and condensed milk. Stir gently to get a uniform mixture.
  4. Slowly add in the all purpose mixture in the above bowl and keep mixing, stir in gently to prevent any lumps.
  5. Once the whole mixture is mixed add the cream slowly to make the above mixture of a heavy dropping consistency. Do not mix vigorously or else the cake won't be light.
  6. Rub some melted butter on a cake tin and sprinkle all purpose flour so that the cake can come out easily and does not stick to the cake tin.
  7. Pour in the batter, tap the pan a little to make the mixture to settle on one level.
  8. Now put the cake in a preheated oven on 180 degree celsius. Bake for 35 minutes.
  9. Check by inserting a knife in the middle, if it comes out clean then the cake is ready.
