ABOUT Hazelnut Caramel Macchiato RECIPE

During our college days there were no CCD, Starbucks or Barista but we enjoyed our coffee nonetheless. Here is a cuppa which in inspired from those days of beating coffee by hand to get that frothy cappuccino effect. Making this recipe for your Valentine shows how much you love him to put in that kind of hard work and as a spin off you get really toned biceps from all that beating ;)

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Instant coffee - 2 tsps (add half a tsp more in case you like your coffee strong)
  2. Sugar - 2 tsp
  3. Milk - 2 cups (Half a cup more if you want extra froth)
  4. Caramel syrup - 2 tsp
  5. Hazelnut powder - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take instant coffee and sugar in a coffee mug and add a few drops of water and beat it with a spoon till it is creamy and frothy (approx 15 mins)
  2. While you beat the coffee you'll find it getting thicker and difficult to beat. Add the caramel syrup at this stage and continue beating.
  3. Heat milk till it is hot and frothy. Whisk it a bit to get some extra froth on the top.
  4. Divide the beaten coffee mixture equally in 2 coffee mugs.
  5. Pour the hot milk into the mugs and swirl a spoon inside to mix it. Do it lightly so that the froth doesn't settle down.
  6. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of hazelnut powder in each of the coffee mugs.
  7. Enjoy it with your Valentine everyday not just on !4th Feb
