Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Wheat flour-1 cup
  2. Rawa-1/4th cup
  3. Rice flour-1/4 cup
  4. Mawa-250 gms
  5. Jaggery-1 cup
  6. Kharek-5 crushed
  7. Kaju,badam,pistas-1/4 cup (finely chopped)
  8. Dry coconut -1/4 cup(grated)
  9. Cardamom powder-1 tsp
  10. Khaskhas-1 tsp
  11. Ghee -1 tbsp+ for frying the modaks

Instructions

  1. Roast mawa in ghee till it becomes light brown in colour. Add jaggery,dry fruits,coconut,khaskhas,cardamom powder in this mawa and stir well.Mix everything for around 2 minutes and put off the gas.Let this filling cool down.
  2. In the meanwhile knead a dough with all the 3 flours.Add a spoon of ghee .The dough should be like puri dough.Cover and keep for 15 minutes.
  3. Now roll small puris and fill a spoon of filling and gather the edges together to form modak shape.
  4. Fry in ghee at medium flame as we want them to cook till brown
  5. Remove from ghee once they brown nicely.
  6. Let them cool and serve Lord Ganesha as prasad
