Junnu Gaddi Sweet

Ingredients to make Junnu Gaddi Sweet

  • Milk- 1 litre
  • sugar-1 cup
  • pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • Elachi powder 2 tsp
  • almond powder ( to thicken milk)
  • Chopped almonds
  • Junnu gaddi- 100 gms
  • Coloured flavours - 3 drops

How to make Junnu Gaddi Sweet

  1. Boil milk in a thick bottomed vessel
  2. In a separate pan add little water and boil junnu gaddi till it becomes a transparent liquid
  3. To the boiled milk, add sugar, almond powder, pepper powder, elachi powder and stir well
  4. Add junnu gaddi liquid to the milk and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add chopped almonds and cook well.
  6. Switch off the stove
  7. Take your favourite shaped cake moulds and add 2 drops of strawberry or pista or your choice syrups.
  8. Now pour junnu gaddi mixture into it and let them set for one hour.
  9. Keep it in the refrigerator till we are ready to serve

My Tip:

If junnu gaddi is soaked in hot water for 1 hour, then we can grind it along with soaked almonds and cashews to a thick paste and then add to milk.
