First, make the kheer thicker.
When it becomes thick add paneer, maida and 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder in it.
Now mix it well
There should be no lumps in it.
Make 8 -10 equal size balls
Cover the balls with a cloth and keep aside.
Take sugar in a pan and add water.
Keep the pan on gas on a medium flame and stir till sugar is dissolved.
Cook the syrup on a low flame till the syrup become slightly sticky.
Now add lemon juice and cardamom in it and stir
Now turn off the gas
Heat the appe mould on a medium flame and grease with oil or ghee.
Cook the ball for 5 minutes on each side on medium heat until they are golden brown.(turn each ball upside down using a wooden stick so as to cook both the sides)
Now appe ball is ready .
Place the appe balls in the hot sugar syrup.
Heating helps the appe ball to absorb the syrup and become soft.
Allow them to rest for 6-7 hours, serve manmadhuri at room temperature or hot as a dessert.
