Ingredients to make Banoffee Pie

  • Biscuit 8 - 9 biscuits (pulse to get a coarse powder)
  • Melted butter 2 – 4 tbsp
  • Overripe banana 2
  • Chocolate Ganache/ Chocolate sauce 150 – 200 ml
  • Whipped cream 100 -150 gms
  • Caramel sauce / toffee Sauce – 60 ml
  • butterscotch nuts / praline for garnishing

How to make Banoffee Pie

  1. Combine biscuit crumb and melted butter to make a crumble.
  2. Place this crumb in the form of a layer at the bottom of a shallow dish.
  3. Pour some caramel sauce & chocolate ganache on it.
  4. Place a layer of sliced bananas on it .
  5. Again pour some caramel sauce & ganache on it.
  6. Cover it with whipped cream.
  7. Cover the whipped cream entirely with some chocolate Ganache .
  8. Garnish it by pouring caramel sauce in zigzag pattern & sprinkling some butterscotch nuts over it, as shown in the picture.
  9. Refrigerate in summers for half an hour & serve.

My Tip:

Homemade Caramel sauce recipe - take 2 tbsp of sugar & caramelise it , take it off from the flame , cool it for a minute & add amul fresh cream to it . Mix well .Your homemde caramel sauce is ready to use. Chocolate Ganache Recipe - Take equal quantities of dark chocolate & amul fresh cream ( 100 gms each ). melt then together in a double boiler or Microwave untill chocolate is melted completely & a smooth sauce is obtained.
