ABOUT Mawa Banana Gulab Jamun (kuch hatke) RECIPE

I was making Gulab Jamun often after marriage to impress my in-laws and my kids, but as they grew up and went out of town for higher studies then it was made less often. Now, I have two granddaughters who love sweets. So presenting this for them.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Raw banana 2
  2. Mawa 125 grams
  3. Maida 1 tbsp
  4. Cocoa powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Sugar 250 grms
  6. Water 1 cup
  7. Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  8. Oil or vegetable ghee for frying
  9. Rose essence (optional) 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook raw bananas to 3 whistles and cool.
  2. Heat pan, add water, sugar and make sugar syrup of 1 string consistancy.
  3. Grate the bananas
  4. Grate mawa too and add to banana mix. Add cardamom powder.
  5. Mix everything kneading with palm. Make cylindrical shaped from banana mawa mix.
  6. Add cocoa powder to the half mixture (optional).
  7. Your sugar syrup is ready. Lower the flame to dim. You can add rose essence to the syrup if you want.
  8. Heat oil or ghee in a pan and fry Jamuns on medium flame
  9. Transfer the jamuns to the sugar syrup.
  10. Let them soak the syrup. Enjoy your dessert with or without ice cream.

This is amazing . I dont like to make gulab jamun generally but this ones motivating.:grin:
