Zatpat Chicken Korma

Ingredients to make Zatpat Chicken Korma

  • chicken with bones or Boneless, 1 kg.
  • onions 5 no
  • tomatoes 3 no
  • mint leaves handful
  • Fresh dhania handful
  • garlic half bulb
  • ginger 3 inch
  • green chillies as per choice
  • Black papper 10 no
  • cinnamon small stick
  • cloves 5 no
  • mace
  • jeera /Cumin half tb spn
  • bay leaf 1 no
  • Black cardamom 1 no
  • Kashmiri chilly powder
  • turmeric
  • dahi half cup
  • Oil/ghee
  • salt

How to make Zatpat Chicken Korma

  1. Grind All dry masalas and ginger, garlic, mint, dhania and green chillies into a smooth paste.
  2. Add curd, red chilly powder, turmeric and blend well.
  3. Marinate chicken in this at least for half an hour.
  4. Chop onion fine or mince
  5. Puree tomatoes
  6. Heat oil/Ghee
  7. Brown onions
  8. Add tomatoes
  9. Mix well saute till mushy.
  10. Add marinated chicken.
  11. Saute on low flame for 15 minutes.
  12. Adjust water as per choice.
  13. Add salt.
  14. Cook till done.
  15. Serve with roties or rice.

My Tip:

Adjust green chillies as per personal choice. You can add green peas /Potatoes. If you have time then marinate in advance.
