    Spinach Cream Pasta

    Ingredients to make Spinach Cream Pasta

    • 180 grams - penne or any other pasta of your choice
    • 1 tablespoon - olive oil
    • 1/4 cup - chopped onion
    • 1/2 bunch - fresh spinach chopped
    • 1/2 - small tomato cubed
    • 1/2 tablespoon - dried basil (use fresh if available)
    • 1/2 cup - heavy cream
    • 2 tablespoons - grated cheese
    • salt pepper and chilli flakes as per taste

    How to make Spinach Cream Pasta

    1. Cook pasta as per instructions on your package.
    2. Fill a large, tall pot with water and place over high heat.
    3. When the water begins to boil, add salt to taste. After the salt has dissolved and the water is really boiling, add pasta to the water and stir frequently the first two minutes, then occasionally until the end of the cooking process.
    4. Use a non stick pan for making the sauce.
    5. Sauté onions in olive oil till golden brown. Stir in spinach, tomato, basil, chilli flakes, salt & pepper. Cook for another 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    6. Add cream & cheese. Allow the gravy to come to a boil. On low flame, add pasta. Mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes till uniformly heated. Serve hot with garlic toast.
