Maggi Potli

Ingredients to make Maggi Potli

  • 1 packet crushed maggi noodles
  • 1 pouch maggi taste maker
  • 2 tsp schezwan sauce
  • 1 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 bowl whole wheat and maida flour
  • oil for frying

How to make Maggi Potli

  1. Sieve wheat and maida flour with salt, oil and sufficient water to knead into puri.
  2. Heat a pan, add oil and roast the crushed maggi till they turn golden brown.
  3. Once they turn golden brown, Add tomato ketchup and schezwan chutney. Mix it well for 2 minutes. Turn off the flame and keep aside.
  4. Take the dough and make a roll into small balls. (Like puri small dough balls). Press each ball slightly in your hand and roll it out into circles with a help of a rolling pin dusting a little flour(if required).
  5. Place the stuffing of maggi in the Centre. Pleat up the edges and give a shape like a potli.
  6. Heat oil in a kadhai. Once oil become hot enough, add potli and deep fry till golden brown.
  7. Once potli become golden brown, take it on an absorbing paper.
  8. Serve with tomato ketchup or chutney.

My Tip:

The rolled out puris should not be thin nor thick. It should be of medium thickness and smaller size than chapati.
