ABOUT Chivda Namkeen RECIPE

A lovely teatime snack made with poha, Peanuts and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Poha - 1 Cup
  2. Peanuts - 1/4 cup
  3. Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Roasted cumin seeds powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Salt (to taste)
  8. Oil - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat 1/2 teaspoon oil in a pan. Add poha / chivda and roast on low flame.
  2. In another pan add a little oil and roast mustard seeds and peanuts.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder and salt. Stir and switch off the gas. Add roasted poha to this and mix. Cool and serve. Keep in airtight glass jars.
