Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Potato : 2 large
  2. Carrot : 1 large
  3. Onion : 1 big
  4. Peas : a handful (soaked and boiled)
  5. Oats : 1 cup
  6. Egg : 2
  7. Salt : 3 tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder : a pinch
  9. Spice powder : Instant or add chilli powder, garam masala etc
  10. Oil : For frying + 2 tbsp
  11. Green Chillies : 2
  12. Coriander Leaves : Finely Chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil and mash potatoes, add turmeric powder and 1 tsp salt, mix it well.
  2. Meanwhile add oil into a pan, add onion, green chilies and saute.
  3. Now add the shredded carrots and peas, close and cook it for 2 minutes. Add salt and spice powders of your choice and saute it.
  4. Turn of the flame and leave it to cool.
  5. Powder the oats coarsely using food processor. In a bowl beat the eggs. Combine the potato mash and the sauteed veg mix and make balls of equal size. Dip the balls into the egg mixture and then coat it with oats. Coat all the balls twice.
  6. Now heat the oil in a pan and fry the balls till they become nice golden brown in color. Serve it with sauce.
