ABOUT Custard Powder Cake RECIPE

An eggless soft spongy cake. Try this cake using custard powder and you would love it.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida - 1 Cup
  2. Vanilla flavored custard powder - 50 gm
  3. Baking powder - 1 tsp 
  4. Sugar - ½ cup (100 gms) 
  5. Oil - ¼ Cup 
  6. Milk - 100 ml

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add the milk, oil and sugar and let sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Sieve the maida, custard powder and baking powder and mix them well. Add them to the milk mixture and fold gently to make a smooth batter.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180° for 10 minutes. Grease the cake pan with oil. Pour the batter into it and bake the cake for 30-35 mins. Mine was done in 30 mins. Start checking from 30 mins onward. A tooth pick inserted should come out clean.
  4. Remove from the oven, let it cool down, invert, cut and serve.

Sugar amt given was very less which in turn makes the cake bland
