ABOUT Aamras RECIPE

Aamras is popular in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. There are different flavored aamras in every region. Use any one option to flavor up your aamras. Here I have added dried ginger powder.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 - Good quality mangoes ( I use Alphonso )
  2. 1-2 tbsp - Sugar
  3. 1 tsp - Dry ginger powder
  4. 1/4 Cup - Water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the mangoes, peel the skin and cut in slices.
  2. Place all the mangoes, sugar in blender. Blend till very smooth you can see very smooth pulp.
  3. At this stage pulp will be too thick, add little water and mix once more time.
  4. Transfer into a big bowl and chill the ras until required.
  5. serve in a small glass or bowl for each person, add pinch of ginger powder
