Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Milk - 500 ml
  2. Custard powder - 3 tsp
  3. Sugar - 2-3 tbsp
  4. Any sponge/pastry cake - 4-5 slices (I have used chocolate cake)
  5. Fresh cut fruits of your choice - 1 cup (I have used apple, banana, green and black grapes and orange segments)
  6. Candied Cherries - 2 tbsp chopped

Instructions

  1. Take some luke warm milk in a small bowl. Add the custard powder and mix well without any lumps.
  2. Take a pan and bring the milk to boil. Add the sugar and let the sugar dissolve completely.
  3. Now reduce the heat and add the custard powder milk mixture and stir continously so it doesn't form any lumps. Cook for 2-3 mins stirring continuously on low-medium heat.
  4. Take off the heat, let it cool down for sometime in room temperature and then keep in the refrigerator for sometime to cool down completely.
  5. Now for layering, in a serving bowl/glass whichever you are using, start by putting the cake first, followed by fruits layer, custard and candied Cherries.
  6. Repeat the layerings again. Refrigerate for atleast 2-3 hours to serve it cold.
