About Microwave pedas Recipe

These delectable bite size pedas are easy to make and look ever so pretty. The best part about this dish, apart from its taste is the preparation method, no slaving over a hot stove!

Microwave pedas

Ingredients to make Microwave pedas

  • 1- 1/2 cup whole milk powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup full cream milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • A few strands of saffron
  • Silver balls for decoration

How to make Microwave pedas

  1. Add all the ingredients into a microwave safe bowl. Set power to high. Stir well and microwave for 2 minutes.
  2. Keep stirring after every 2 minutes. (You will know it is done when the mixture begins to come together.)
  3. Once done, allow it to cool a bit, then form peda shapes and add a silver ball on top of each peda in the center .
  4. Alternatively you can knead lightly and put into marzipan moulds. Lightly grease the moulds with butter.

My Tip:

- I like to add a teaspoon of grand marnier and some orange rind for a bit of a twist. It gives the pedas a subtle orange flavour. - I used a 1200 W microwave the timing would depend on your microwave. The above recipe yielded around 45 bite size pedas
