Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Pure pomegranate juice 500 ml
  2. Sugar 2/3 cup
  3. Lemon juice 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Make fresh and pure pomegranate juice at home.
  2. Strain it well.
  3. Now to this add the sugar and the lemon juice.
  4. Allow it to simmer.
  5. At first keep the flame on high until the boiling starts.
  6. As soon as it starts boiling, lower the flame to low.
  7. Simmer it on low flame now for almost 40 minutes.
  8. Keep stirring in between.
  9. The syrup should thicken like shown and should reduce to almost 3/4 of a cup.
  10. Do not thicken it much because it solidifies more on cooling.
  11. So if you want to check where to stop, just see whether it coats the back of the spoon or not.
  12. If it coat as shown in the video, it is done
  13. If not keep simmering it for some more time.
  14. If you want a little thinner syrup, it can be kept to nearly a cup.
  15. But it should be 3/4 cup for that perfect texture.
  16. Enjoy it for nearly 4 weeks by refrigerating it.
  17. Cover it up with a cling wrap and store.
