ABOUT Gulkand Frozen Yogurt RECIPE

This frozen Yogurt is a spin off on the delicious creamy Gulkand Srikhand. I added pure Roof - e kesar syrup on top as garnish to give that shahi taste to it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Hung curd - 2 cups
  2. honey - 1/2 cup
  3. Fresh Good Quality Gulkand - 1/2 Cup
  4. Garnish - Roof - e - kesar Syrup / Rose Syrup


  1. Pour in home cultured or market bought yogurt in a muslin cloth and hang it tied for 3-4 hours or overnight.
  2. When making the Frozen Yogurt, take out the hung curd which should have thick cheese like texture. A good substitute for Greek Yogurt.
  3. Add honey to it and cream the mixture so that it becomes smooth and nice.
  4. Add gulkand and a few drops of the syrup or rose syrup if using.
  5. Stir it gently so that all the ingredients get nicely incorporated. Nice swirls, no vigorous stirring.
  6. Put it in a freezer safe container, cover and freeze for 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve it topped with the garnish of your choice. Trust me it tastes amazing.
