ABOUT Oats pancakes RECIPE

Oats is a healthy replacement of maida so made delicious pancakes out of it.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Oats 1cup (blend for 2min into coarse powder)
  2. Wheat flour(atta) 1cup
  3. Sugar 4teaspoon
  4. Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Egg 1
  6. vanilla essence 3-4 drops
  7. Buttermilk 2 cups

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl take egg, salt and sugar and whisk. Add half of the buttermilk, and mix well. Now add the oats, a little at a time and mix.
  2. Add a pinch of baking soda to the wheat flour and add to the mixture, add rest of the buttermilk little by little and mix well to form a smooth batter.
  3. Add the vanilla essence, cover and keep for half hour. Heat a nonstick pan, and heat half teaspoon oil. Pour a laddle full of the mixture and spread slightly with the laddle. Cover and cook for 2 minutes to golden brown. Flip over and cook the other side.
  4. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with jam, honey or maple syrup. Note- The batter should not be too liquidy or else the pancakes will not be round.
