The famous aromatic biryani cooked with meat n potatoes

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 500 gm parboiled
  2. Mutton 250 gm
  3. Potatoes 2 diced and fried
  4. Onion 2 chopped 2 sliced
  5. Green chilies 2 slit
  6. Yogurt 1/2 cup whisked
  7. Whole spices cloves cinamon n cardamom 2 each
  8. ghee 1/2 cup
  9. Saffron in warm milk 1/2 cup
  10. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  11. Garam masala 2tsp
  12. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  13. Corriander chopped

Instructions

  1. Parboil the rice adding few cardamom n clove. Drain n keep aside
  2. Fry 2 onion till dark brown and keep aside
  3. Fry diced potatoes till golden and keep aside
  4. In a handi. Add 2 tbsp ghee amd 4 tbsp oil. To heat.
  5. Add whole spices, ginger garlic paste and 2 chopped onions. Fry till golden
  6. Add mutton pieces and mix. Fry till mutton changes color.
  7. Add whisked yogurt red chilli powder and salt mix. And cook add garam masala. Mix well
  8. Cover and cook the mutton for 45 to 50 min. Check it tender add in a layer of rice
  9. Top the rice layer with fried potatoes. Layer again with rice
  10. Spread well..
  11. Add saffron milk and ghee. Add chopped corriander
  12. Cover and cook on low flames for 15 to 20 min
  13. Garnish with fried onion . Serve hot
