Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients to make Vanilla Ice Cream

  • cream (with a min fat content of 35%)- 2 cups
  • Condensed Milk – 1 can (400 gms)
  • Vanilla essence – 1 teaspoon

How to make Vanilla Ice Cream

  1. Take fresh cream in a bowl and beat it with an electrical beater. You will be able to see the cream thickening and increase in volume. Blend it for about 2-3 minutes or until you reach soft peaks. Now to this add condensed milk.
  2. Add the vanilla essence and blend again for about 2-3 minutes or until you reach stiff peaks. Make sure to scrape the edges while blending.
  3. Transfer this to a container. I used my cake tray and covered it with kitchen foil. Freeze it over night. It will be perfectly set the next day!!

My Tip:

After the vanilla ice cream is set, let it be outside in room temperature for 3-5 mins. Then scoop and serve. You can use a normal mixer to make this ice cream if you do not have an electric beater. The timings above may not suit though. It might only take a few seconds to get the right consistency. So be careful and do not over do, else u would end up making butter and not ice cream. This vanilla ice cream does not require to be blended in between freezing. No ice crystals will be formed in this method and it will be very creamy.
