Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Wholewheat flour 1 cup
  2. Refined flour 1/2 cup
  3. Ground oats 1/2 cup
  4. almond powder 1/2 cup
  5. chickpea flour (besan)2 tbsp
  6. Powdered sugar 1 to 1 and quarter cup
  7. cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. oil 1/2 cup
  10. ghee 1/2 cup


  1. Mix all the dry ingredients.
  2. Knead with ghee/oil to soft dough
  3. Refrigerate for half an hour
  4. Make walnut sized balls and place them on a greased baking tray
  5. Lightly make a cross with a knife on each nan khatai.
  6. Bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for 10 minutes and then at 160 degrees centigrade for 20 minutes or till slightly brown.
  7. Take out the nan khatais from the oven and let them cool
  8. Store them in airtight container.
