Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Green bell pepper 2 big
  2. Onion 1 finely chopped
  3. Uttapam batter (soaked rice & urad dal, blend it to a smooth paste)
  4. Tomato 1 Finely chopped(exclude seeds)
  5. Green chilies 2 finely chopped
  6. Curry leaves of 1 strand
  7. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. oil 1 tbsp


  1. Cut the bell pepper in ring shape.
  2. Make sure rings shouldn't be very thin.
  3. Add salt to taste to the Uttapam batter.
  4. Mix well the batter.
  5. Now heat 2-3 teaspoon oil in a pan.
  6. Put pepper rings to the pan.
  7. Add 4-5 rings at a time according to the size of the pan.
  8. Fill each ring with 1 table spoon uttapam batter.
  9. Add chopped onion,green chillies, tomatoes, curry leaves & a few cumin seeds on the top of the filled pepper rings.
  10. Once it is cooked from one side,flip it .
  11. Add some more oil,if you need.
  12. Cook both sides of the ring uttapam well.
  13. Repeat the process for rest of the rings.
  14. Serve hot with any chutney.
