Shrikhand

Ingredients to make Shrikhand

  • 2 1/2 cups curd fresh not sour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar(add less or more as desired)
  • 4-5 green cardamoms
  • 8-10 kesar strands
  • 4-5 almonds
  • 5-6 pistachios
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon milk

How to make Shrikhand

  1. Put curd in a muslin cloth for 2 hours to drain out excess water.
  2. Meanwhile, add kesar and milk into a small bowl and mix together.
  3. Take out the curd from the cloth and put it in a large bowl.
  4. Add kesar and milk mixture,cardamoms,pistachios,sugar and almonds in the curd and beat with a hand beater till smooth and creamy.
  5. Garnish with some green cardamoms or chopped nuts and serve.

My Tip:

can add mango puree at the time of blending to make the popular mango shrikhand

Hello Bindiya, This recipe prompts me to try it out today. Can't wait .....store bought Srikhand is overly sugary and fatty. Srikhand is the best dessert in summers. Thanks for sharing.
