Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cluster Beans 250 gms
  2. Channa dal 5 tbsp
  3. Gingerly oil 1 tbsp
  4. 2 green chillies
  5. Salt 1 tsp
  6. Coconut grated - 1/4 th cup
  7. Mustard seeds for seasoning
  8. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  9. Urad dal for seasoning - 1 tbsp
  10. Hing [asafoetida] - 1/4 th tsp


  1. Wash and cut Cluster Beans. Rinse Channa dal thrice
  2. Add cluster beans and Channa dal in pressure cooker. Add 2 cups of water and turmeric powder
  3. Pressure cook for 4 whistles
  4. Take a kadai. Add Oil. Add Mustard. When Mustard cracks add urad dal. Then add green chilli, hing and curry leaves. Saute it well
  5. Strain and add cluster beans and Channa dal to the seasoning
  6. Add salt and saute it well
  7. Add grated coconut and saute for few mins
  8. You can serve it as healthy snacks
