Try this ohhh so creamy and melt in mouth eggless bottlegourd mousse. My creation of eggless chocolate mousse with bottlegourd, enjoy this navratri with the healthy veggie.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200 gm milk chocolate
  2. 150 GM bottlegourd
  3. 1 cup Heavy Cream
  4. 1 tsp coffee powder
  5. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  6. 1/4 cup water
  7. 3 tsp sugar
  8. Chocolate shavings, for garnish


  1. First of all grate bottlegourd and boil it till a whistle with little water in pressure cooker.
  2. After opening the cooker, sieve it and let the water drain and let it cool.
  3. Meanwhile boil water and sugar, till sugar dissolves.
  4. Chop the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and pour this hot sugar water on top of it .
  5. Stir the chocolate and then microwave for a pulse of 30 second each till the chocolate melts completely. Let it cool too.
  6. Meanwhile in a cool pan, take cold heavy cream and whip it with coffee powder till soft peaks.
  7. Blend the cooled bottlegourd and mix it in the cooled chocolate. Take care both have come to room temperature before mixing.
  8. Add in vanilla essence and mix nicely.
  9. Slowly fold in half of the whipped cream to the chocolate mix, taking care to gently fold and not overmix.
  10. Similarly, fold in the rest half of the whipped cream.
  11. Let it chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or till the mousse is thick and cool.
  12. Garnish with more whipped cream and chocolate shavings and serve cold.
