These Besan paares are crunchy and crispy. Paares makes a great snack. From kids to old loves these paares. You can serve anytime.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan - 1cup
  2. Whole wheat flour - 1cup
  3. red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
  4. Carom seeds - 1/2 tsp
  5. Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  7. Dry fenugreek seeds - 2tsp
  8. Hing - 1pinch
  9. Oil - for frying


  1. Take besan in any big utensil and mix whole wheat flour as well.
  2. Add all the mentioned spices.
  3. Now add 4tbsp oil in the flour.
  4. Mix all ingredients with your hands. add little amount of water and prepare a hard dough.
  5. then knead the dough for 2-3 minutes so that it becomes soft and greasy. cover the dough and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  6. after 20mins knead the dough bit more to make it soft and then use it for making besan paares.
  7. Divide the dough into two equal halves. take one part and give it a round shape.
  8. flatten it with your hand and lately with the help of rolling pin. roll it like paratha and keep the thickness as similar paratha.
  9. meanwhile heat oil in the pan, now cut it with 1inch width and 2.5 or 3inch long. take out the sliced piece in the plate.
  10. Once oil gets heated up fry the piece ( keep the oil medium hot). place all besan paares in the pan. Cook on medium flame until they become golden brown, crispy and crunchy. these smell really good because of the spices added in the dough.
  11. Now your crunchy and crispy besan paares are ready to serve. once it's get cool properly you can store it for 2months.
