ABOUT Rajgira Balls RECIPE

Rajgira balls are very delicious and healthy. Rajgira is full of iron and fibre.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 100gm rajgira
  2. 250gm jaggery
  3. 1½ cup water
  4. ½ tsp ghee
  5. 1 tsp cardamom powder


  1. Heat a pan to high temperature.
  2. Add 2 tsp rajgira at a time .
  3. It will start popping up almost immediately.
  4. When popped up, remove from pan .
  5. Keep aside.
  6. Repeat the process for rest of the rajgira.
  7. Place jaggery and water in a pan and dissolve jaggery over low heat.
  8. When dissolved increase the heat and bring to a boil .
  9. Cook on high heat till a 2 thread consistency is ready.
  10. Mix in the rajgira and cardamom powder into the mixture.
  11. Take it off the heat and when cool enough to handle.
  12. Make round balls.
  13. Let it cool so that they get tightened.
  14. Its ready to serve.
