ABOUT Eggless mawa cake RECIPE

These soft and fluffy tea time cakes are made famous by the Parsi and Irani bakeries.This cake is made with evaporated milk(mawa),cream ,milk and infused with cardamom flavor.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour-2 cups
  2. Sugar-1 cup
  3. Butter-150 grams
  4. Mawa-150 grams
  5. Cream/malai-4 tablespoon
  6. Milk-1 cup
  7. Cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
  8. Baking powder-1 teaspoon
  9. Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take sugar and butter in a bowl and whisk till it becomes fluffy.
  2. Now add mawa to this fluffy mixture.
  3. Whisk well such that mawa is combined with butter.
  4. Sieve all purpose flour,baking powder and soda together.
  5. Add this to butter and mawa mix.
  6. Also add cardamom powder,milk,cream.
  7. Grease and prepare a cake tin.
  8. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  9. After adding the flour,mix and fold using spatula till everything is mixed well.
  10. Pour mawa cake batter in the greased tin and tap twice to release air bubbles.
  11. Now keep to bake in oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
  12. Check with toothpick whether cooked or not.
  13. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
  14. Remove it by inverting on a plate.
  15. Our delicious mawa cake is ready to be served with tea or coffee.
