ABOUT Green Apple Chutney... RECIPE

A delicious easy peasy chutney that goes well with Indian Cuisine. No meal is complete without a pickle or a chutney for us Indians. Hence this one fits the bill perfectly well because of it's tangy, sweet and spicy taste.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Apples 3
  2. Oil 3 to 4 tablespoon
  3. Mustard seeds 1 tablespoon
  4. Dry red chillies 4
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Red chilli flakes 1 tablespoon
  7. Asafoetida 2 pinches
  8. Curry leaves few
  9. Sugar 1 tablespoon
  10. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  11. Fennel powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Crushed coriander seeds 1 teaspoon


  1. Core and cut the apples into cubes.
  2. In a pan, heat oil and add the mustard seeds.
  3. After they splutter, add curry leaves and the rest of the spices.
  4. Add the apple cubes and mix well.
  5. Cover and simmer on low flame for 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. Open the lid and stir it once.
  7. Delicious chutney is ready to be served hot with plain rice, dry sabzi and daal.
  8. This can be stored for nearly 15 days in a refrigerator.
