Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. ¾ cup besan / gram flour
  2. ½ cup mawa / khoya
  3. ½ cup butterscotch chips
  4. 2 tbsp milkmaid
  5. Ghee 8 tablespoon


  1. Heat a pan or kadai on low flame. Add 2 tbsp ghee and roast besan till nice aroma comes. It may take 5 minutes to roast. Make sure to not burn the flour so keep on low flame and roast besan. Now, add crumbled mawa and stir well.
  2. Mix everything well
  3. Add butterscotch and cook for 2 min on low flame
  4. Add 1 tablespon ghee at time and cook till ghee separates from the mixture and starts leaving the sides of the pan
  5. Pour this mixture over greased tray and level it properly. Make rectangular or square cuts on barfi when it is still hot. Let it come to room temperature and remove those pieces.
  6. Store in air tightcontainer.
