Chitrakoot

Ingredients to make Chitrakoot

  • 200 gram paneer
  • 100 gram khoya
  • 20 gram all purpose flour
  • 1/4 th teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 th teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 200 gram castor sugar
  • water toake sugar syrup
  • oil for frying

How to make Chitrakoot

  1. Take maida, khoya, and paneer in a thali.
  2. Knead paneer, khoya, and sugar.
  3. Mix flour with baking powder, add paneer, khoya, and make smooth dough.
  4. Make lime sized balls from the dough shape these balls into diamonds about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Heat a vessel add sugar and water, cardamom powder, prepared thick syrup and keep aside.
  6. Fry chitrakoot in oil or ghee till dark brown.
  7. Now dip this fried chitrakoot in sugar syrup for 1/2 an hour.
  8. Then rolled chitrakoot in castor sugar.
  9. Your juicy, sweet, soft chitrakoot is ready
  10. Seve chilled.

My Tip:

You can give any shape to chitrakoot.
