Botanical name is amarantus dubuis(arai keerai)is spinach type mostly used in all houses,it has lot of medicinal benefits,it has a high source of calcium an high fiber,tasty evening snack for children.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Gram Flour
  2. 1/2 cup rice flour
  3. 1 cup arai Keerai leaves
  4. 1 big onion finely chopped
  5. Finely chopped green chilies 3
  6. 3/4 cup grated carrot and cabbages
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water as required

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add all ingredients and mix well. Add water little by little to form thick batter
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Pour spoonful of batter and deep fry until golden brown
  3. Allow excess oil to be absorbed by absorbent towel. Serve hot with sauce
