Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1.5 cup green moong dal
  2. 1/2 cup spinach puree
  3. 1/2 cup boiled mixed veggies like beans carrot etc
  4. 2 tsp Green coriander chutney
  5. 4 slices of tomato
  6. 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/2 teaspoon ginger chili paste
  10. 4 cheese slices
  11. 4 onion slices

Instructions

  1. Soak dal for 4 hours. Drain excess water. Grind moong dal with little water to smooth paste
  2. Add salt, ginger chili paste to batter and mix well
  3. Add spinach puree and vegetables and mix
  4. Add baking soda mix well
  5. Pour batter in greased idli moulds or greased round katoris. Steam idlis for 10 to 12 minutes
  6. Allow to cool for 5 -10 minutes
  7. Demould and transfer idlis to serving plate
  8. Apply green chutney over idlis then 1 tablespoon mayonnaise. Place tomato onion and cheese slices. Now add another idli over top. Serve warm
