Swiss rolls with a green twist.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the dough -
  2. Marie/ parle-G biscuits - 20
  3. Spinach puree - 2 teaspoons
  4. Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  5. Butter - 1 tablespoon
  6. Milk - as required
  7. Kewda essence - 2 drops( (optional)
  8. FOR STUFFING-
  9. Khoya - 1/2 cup
  10. Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  11. Cashew - 5-6 finely chopped
  12. Almonds - 5-6 finely chopped
  13. Raisins - 10- 12
  14. Charoli ( chiraunji) - 1 teaspoon
  15. Green cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take all the dough ingredients in a bowl except milk and mix well.
  2. Knead it in a little tight dough. Add milk if required.
  3. For stuffing-
  4. Heat a thick bottom pan. Add khoya and cook it till done.
  5. Switch off the flame. And add all the rest stuffing ingredients in hot khoya.
  6. Let it cool down.
  7. Roll preparation-
  8. Take a ball of the dough. Flatten it with the help of rolling pin on a foil paper.
  9. Spread khoya mixture on it. And press lightly.
  10. Roll it very tightly with the help of foil paper. Seal the edges.
  11. Pack it in the foil and keep in the fridge for 1 hour.
  12. After 1 hour remove foil. Cut into roundels.
  13. Serve and enjoy.
