Crispy potatoes tossed in a tangy, spicy and sweet sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 large potatoes
  2. 1 small onion
  3. 2 tbs oil
  4. 1 tbs soya sauce
  5. 1 tbs chillie sauce
  6. 1 tbs tomato ketchup
  7. 1/2 tsp chillie powder
  8. 4 tbs cornflour
  9. 1 tbs ginger garlic paste
  10. 2 tbs honey
  11. Salt to taste


  1. Peel potatoes and cut vertically. (Like you cut for French fries)
  2. In a bowl take cornflour, chillie powder, salt and make a paste with water.
  3. Dip and coat the potatoes with this batter and deep fry till golden brown and crisp.
  4. In a wok heat oil and saute the onion till soft. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  5. Add the soya and chillie sauce and tomato ketchup. Add the remaining cornflour paste if any.
  6. Once the sauce thickens, add honey and stir. Add the fried potatoes and mix till well coated.
  7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve immediately.
