Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 tsp fennel seeds,extra to sprinkle over it
  2. 3 tsp milk
  3. 180 grm butter
  4. 150 grm powder sugar
  5. 200 grm maida
  6. 3 eggs
  7. 1 tsp baking powder
  8. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  9. 3 chopped dates,extra to sprinkle over it
  10. 1/4 tsp salt
  11. 2 tsp honey
  12. 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. First roast the fennel in a pan till nice roast smell comes when done, transfer in blending jar and one 1 or 2 times blend (big particles more than small particles).now heat milk in pan add crushed fennel in it and cover the pan for 15 mins.
  2. You can use raw or whole seeds but I use for inhance flavour,aroma and taste.
  3. Now beat the butter and powder sugar in a deep bowl,when beat crack the eggs in it and again beat till completely combined.
  4. In other bowl nicely sieve the maida,baking powder, baking soda,salt.when sieve add chopped dates in it.
  5. When wet ingredients completely beat add dry ingredients in it and again mix.
  6. Finally add milk with fennel seeds, honey and lemon juice and mix.
  7. Now prepared dough in already greased baking tray and sprinkle some roasted fennel seeds and chopped dates over it and bake in preheated oven at 180* for 35 to 40 mins or till skevere taste is paas.
  8. Now tasty Fennel cake is ready to serve.sprinkle some powdered sugar over it as garnish.
