Paneer 65

Ingredients to make Paneer 65

  • paneer - 200 gms
  • maida - 5 tablespoon
  • cornflour - 5 tablespoon
  • chilli powder - 2 to 3 teaspoon
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • curd - 2 tablespoon
  • Garam masala -1/4 teaspoon
  • water - as needed
  • salt - as needed
  • oil - for deep frying
  • Big onion - 1 sliced thin
  • pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • lemon juice - 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Paneer 65

  1. Cut paneer into cubes. In a bowl, mix together the flours, chilli powder, salt, curd, garam masala, ginger garlic paste.
  2. Add water as needed to make a thick batter. Add in the chopped paneer cubes and mix well with your hands so that the batter coats the paneer well.
  3. Heat oil for deep frying. Add in 4 to 5 paneer cubes and deep fry till golden brown and crispy. Do this in batches, dont add all at a time. Deep fry in medium flame.Drain in tissue paper.
  4. Heat a pan with little oil, add onions and saute till translucent. Add in the deep fried paneer cubes and pepper powder and saute. Switch off the flame, drizzle lemon juice and serve hot!.

My Tip:

1. Do not add too much water in the batter. Just as required to make a thick paste. Otherwise it will consume too much oil. 2. You can add curry leaves too along with the onion. 3. You can add chaat masala too in the batter. 4. Deep fry in medium flame not high. Else the coating will turn brown easily without paneer cooked.
