Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup yellow moong dal
  2. 1/2cup red masoor dal.
  3. Salt
  4. 1/4tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1/4tsp red chilli
  6. 1/4tsp turmeric powder.
  7. 1onion
  8. 1tomato
  9. 1tsp chopped ginger.
  10. 2tsp desi ghee.


  1. In a cooker add both the dals with salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Cook until 1 whistle is attained and then switch off the gas.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan
  4. Add cumin seeds
  5. Add Chopped onion, tomato and ginger.
  6. Add red chilli powder.
  7. Pour tadka into the dal.
  8. Sprinkle green coriander leaves.
  9. Serve with chapati.
