ABOUT Cocoa Powder Glaze/Ganache.. RECIPE

An easy way to make lipsmacking ganache or a cake dressing at home. It is the most simplest and an economical one too. It tastes delish drizzled on your favourite cakes and doughnuts. It has an innumerable uses and can be used in almost any and everything under the sun exclusively related to baking. This is my way of doing it and i have been doing it since many years now. Since it has chocolaty flavour, it is ofcourse gets a first preference.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Cocoa powder good quality 1/2 cup
  2. Butter 2 tbsp
  3. Milk 1 cup
  4. Confectioner's sugar 1 1/2 cups
  5. Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix well the sifted cocoa powder, milk and butter until lumpfree in a saucepan.
  2. Heat it on a low heat by stirring it.
  3. As soon as it starts bubbling and thickening, stir it well so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
  4. Switch off the heat in 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Add the sugar and mix well.
  6. Sugar can be adjusted according to taste.
  7. Do not make it very thick. It should be little thin because it thickens as it cools down.
  8. Tempting homemade ganache is ready in pretty much no time at all.
  9. Use it as desired on cakes, pastries, breads, breadsticks, sandwiches, various wraps and frankies plus chocolate cinnamon rolls, doughnuts etc.
